First Stone to the Almaraz Project

Today ET Solar joined the new Solar Farm project to celebrate its development together with OPDE and partners. In a ceremony the first stone of a new photovoltaic system in Almaraz (Cáceres) was positioned.

ET Solar’s CSO, Dennis She, who attended this ceremony, stated that “this impressive project currently represents just what can be achieved through establishing global networks of good working partnerships.” He went on to say that “each company involved in this development has whole heartedly embraced the renewable energy business with courage and forward thinking. And now we can look forward to a substantial business relationship and a very bright future.” The other members of this impressive project were the mayor of Almaraz, Sabina Hernandez, the President of the OPDE Group, Adalberto Ríos, Iberian SMA, REC Spain, Santander Private Banking, SALINE EPG, DK4, Mecasolar and PROINSO.

After the first installation of the ET Meca Tracker at the Beijing Olympic Coliseum, ET Solar has started the commercial production and sales of tracking systems with OPDE. OPDE, a Spanish project developer, has been selling modules from ET Solar since the beginning of 2007.

The Almaraz development project will provide an annual energy output to supply more than 12,000 households. When completed, the 20 megawatt project will involve an investment of over 160 million euros. The project will also support the creation of 40 local jobs.

ET Solar Group, manufacturer of PV products, has developed steadily through such projects and now has expanded their capacity to 120 MW next year, to meet the increasing demand of the PV market.

Summary

Spain: Almaraz Solar farm, ET Solar and OPDE and partners laid the first Stone to the Almaraz project, which will create a 20MW solar farm.
